Using digital technology to make your dental implant journey as comfortable and quick as possible
Dental implants are considered the most advanced way to replace missing teeth and are the closest restoration science has produced to replicate natural teeth. For this reason, the implant team at Dutch Barton Dental Practice have taken steps to ensure this treatment is as successful and stress-free as possible.
As well as offering patients the services of two accomplished implant surgeons who have undertaken considerable additional training and learning to master the technique, we have also installed digital technology within the practice to make the treatment as seamless as possible.
Our Technology
The Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scanner allows our dentists to see the entire internal oral structure in 3D, providing the most detailed view and informing the treatment so your dental implant journey can be planned every step of the way.
As well as showing the jawbone volume, density and suitability for implants, this scan tells our dentists if you need additional treatment such as a sinus lift. If the jawbone seems depleted in certain areas our dentists can also perform guided bone regeneration.
We also offer patients Cerec 3D, technology which allows us to build your ceramic crown or dental bridge at the practice, whilst you wait. This reduces your overall number of appointments and time in the dental chair once the implant sites have healed.
In addition, before we build your new teeth, we will use an intraoral scanner instead of taking dental impressions. This again reduces time in the dental chair and is also beneficial for the environment as we cut down our waste.
